What is the difference between OFDM and OFDM?
The difference is that OFDMA is multi-user where OFDM is single-user. It has 3x higher throughput than single-user OFDM for short packets of data or multiple endpoints. OFDMA combines transmissions and sends frames to multiple endpoints simultaneously. It is more efficient with lower latency transmission.
What is the difference between OFDM and QAM?
OFDM includes a 1-weight channel equalizer per subcarrier while SC-QAM signals are downconverted to baseband and processed with a 40 taps linear equalizer to cancel inter-symbol interference.
What is the difference between OFDM and spread spectrum?
OFDM is not actually a spread spectrum technology; it is a specialized form of multiplexing. OFDM multiplexes data onto 52 orthogonal subcarriers using one of several modulation techniques. These subcarriers are then multiplexed into the OFDM carrier.
