How is a qEEG performed?

Having a qEEG is a simple, painless process that takes a total of about 30 minutes. In a room at one of our clinics, you'll sit quietly while a cap is gently placed on your head. The cap looks similar to a bathing cap, except that it has electrodes attached that pick up the brain's electrical activity.

What is qEEG used for?

QEEG is commonly used in the study of autism spectrum disorders, associating quantitative markers with changes in brain functions [95]. It can also be applied for therapeutic purposes using neurofeedback [95].

Is a qEEG a valid test?

The review of the scientific literature demonstrated high levels of split-half and test–retest reliability of qEEG and convincing content and predictive validity as well as other forms of validity.
