What is a PRB in 5G?
A resource block (a.k.a physical resource block – PRB) is a block of N RBsc = 12 subcarriers over which the transmissions are scheduled. 5G NR physical layer uses time-frequency resource (physical resource block) for transmission.
What is DSS in LTE?
Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS for short) is a new antenna technology that for the first time enables the parallel use of LTE and 5G in the same frequency band. The technology determines the demand for 5G and LTE in real-time.
What is crb0?
The object defines the carrier subcarrier spacing, bandwidth, and offset parameters from point A, the center of subcarrier 0 in the common resource block 0 (CRB 0).
How many symbols are available for PDSCH within one NR slot in DSS 5G cell?
Then, 12 RE * 11 Symbols results in 132 RE available in a slot for NR PDSCH. In the case of one LTE CRS antenna port, the total available NR PDSCH REs available in a slot per one RB is 132-6 = 126 REs, 132-12 = 120 REs with two CRS antenna ports, and 132-16 = 116 REs with four CRS antenna ports.
