What is Jakes model?

Abstract: A Gaussian random process with a given power spectral density (PSD) function can be modeled as a sum of sinusoids (SOS), and has been widely used to simulate Rayleigh-fading communication channels.

How do you overcome Rayleigh fading?

To overcome the effects of Rayleigh fading in a mobile environment, sequential tone signalling may be used (DTI, 1981b). Here a unique single tone corresponding to each digit is sequentially transmitted, together with a unique 'repeat' tone in place of the digit tone in the case of repeated digits.

How do you model for fading channel?

To model a channel that involves both fading and additive white Gaussian noise, use a fading channel block followed by an AWGN Channel block. The MIMO Fading Channel and SISO Fading Channel blocks can be set to model Rayleigh or Rician fading distributions of the channel.

What is multipath Rayleigh fading channel?

Rayleigh and Rician fading channels are useful models of real-world phenomena in wireless communication. These phenomena include multipath scattering effects, time dispersion, and Doppler shifts that arise from relative motion between the transmitter and receiver.
