How many sidebands are there in FM?
Figure 7.9. Frequency modulation. Like AM, FM also produces sidebands. But unlike AM, which produces a single pair of sidebands for each frequency in the modulating signal, the FM process produces an infinite number of pairs of sidebands for each frequency in the information signal.
What are upper and lower sidebands?
The sidebands comprise all the spectral components of the modulated signal except the carrier. The signal components above the carrier frequency constitute the upper sideband (USB), and those below the carrier frequency constitute the lower sideband (LSB). All forms of modulation produce sidebands.
What is single-sideband and double sideband?
