How does Otsu's method work?
Otsu's thresholding method involves iterating through all the possible threshold values and calculating a measure of spread for the pixel levels each side of the threshold, i.e. the pixels that either fall in foreground or background.
How does Otsu's binarization work?
Otsu's method is an adaptive thresholding way for binarization in image processing. It can find the optimal threshold value of the input image by going through all possible threshold values (from 0 to 255).
What is Otsu method for image segmentation?
OTSU method (OTSU) is a global adaptive binarization threshold image segmentation algorithm, it is put forward by Japanese scholars OTSU in 1979. This algorithm takes the maximum inter class variance between the background and the target image as the threshold selection rule.
