What is a virtual audio mixer?
Providing the same functionality of a digital or analog mixing console, a virtual mixer takes the audio outputs of many separate tracks or live sources and combines them into a pair of stereo outputs or other routed subgroups for auxiliary outputs.
What device lets you bring multiple audio signals together adjust their levels and send them on?
At the most basic level, an audio mixer combines multiple signals and routes them to a common output for recording or amplification through a sound reinforcement system. “Signals” are those sounds captured by microphones or received from electric instruments.
How does SonoBus work?
All audio is sent directly between users peer-to-peer. The connection server is only used so that the users in a group can find each other based on the session name. The initial release of SonoBus provides pre-built executables for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.
