What is the purpose of an RGB filter?

The RGB Color Filter modules are designed for use with QImaging's line of high-resolution monochrome CCD cameras to capture high-quality color images. Color information is captured by sequentially acquiring full-resolution images in each of the color planes.

What are LRGB filters?

LRGB filters, or luminance, red, green, and blue filters, enable astrophotographers to capture images of objects in their true color, even with a monochrome camera. Color reproduction is incredibly important in astrophotography if you want your images to be striking, and it's hard to do better than Astronomik does.

Do RGB filters block light pollution?

Star colors with the Triband RGB Ultra still take on the red-blue of a multi-narrowband filter but to a lesser extent. This is likely due to blocking the yellow portion of the spectrum, which is necessary to reduce light pollution. The Triband RGB Ultra performed well on dim targets under heavy light pollution.
