What is the relationship between frame rate and play back time?
The faster the frame rate that's set on the camera, the slower the playback image will be. For example, a camera frame rate of 60 fps played back at 30 fps will run twice as long as one shot at 30 fps. A 5-second scene shot at 60 fps will run 10 seconds when played back at 30 fps.
What is the difference between the frame rate and time base?
The recording frame rate is the number of frames per second (FPS) that are recorded. The recording frame rate is different from the project time base, which is the rate at which the footage will be played back. The maximum frame rate for each format is determined by Project Time Base and Format.
What is the difference between timecode and frames?
It's important to remember that, even though they are related, timecode and frame rate are not the same thing. Timecode is a way to label frames in a recording and frame rate is the speed at which images have been recorded or are played back.
