Pole-zeros of a real-valued causal FIR system

Pole-zeros of a real-valued causal FIR system
  1. How do you know if a system is pole zero plot causal?
  2. What is pole and zero in control system?

How do you know if a system is pole zero plot causal?

If the ROC extends outward from the pole with the largest magnitude and there is no pole at infinity, then the system is causal. If the ROC extends inward from the pole with the smallest (nonzero) magnitude, then the system is anti-causal.

What is pole and zero in control system?

Poles and Zeros of a transfer function are the frequencies for which the value of the denominator and numerator of transfer function becomes zero respectively. The values of the poles and the zeros of a system determine whether the system is stable, and how well the system performs.
