OFDM intra-block multipath interference
  1. How does OFDM solve the multipath problem?
  2. What is intersymbol interference in OFDM?

How does OFDM solve the multipath problem?

OFDM exhibits lower multi-path distortion (delay spread) due to sending the high- speed composite's “sub-signals” at lower data rates. Because of the lower data rate transmissions, multi-path-based delays are not nearly as significant as they would be with a single channel high rate system.

What is intersymbol interference in OFDM?

In telecommunication, intersymbol interference (ISI) is a form of distortion of a signal in which one symbol interferes with subsequent symbols. This is an unwanted phenomenon as the previous symbols have a similar effect as noise, thus making the communication less reliable.
