What is Novation Peak good for?
Peak offers up a whole load of treatments to help take your sounds into another dimension. Firstly, there's ring-mod and cross-mod for adding texture and making metallic tones. Then there's shape mod, oscillator sync and filter and linear FM.
Is the minilogue XD better than the minilogue?
The XD is the new and improved Minilogue, so it's naturally going to be the better synth of the two. The question comes down to if you have the budget to reach out for the XD? Overall, the XD is a lot more versatile and gives the user a more rounded experience when it comes to analog synthesis.
Is the minilogue XD worth it?
It's a pretty darn good bargain if you're looking for a versatile analogue poly synth with a ton of excellent features (sequencer, arp, patches, effects, etc.) As long as you're aware of its limitations, like the 4 voices, you should be good to use it in your music making.
Are Novation synths good?
Don't let the name fool you: this synth can do much more than bass. It's a very versatile analog monosynth with a huge personality that also shines on soaring leads and gnarly sequences. Novation also did a great job keeping the synth fresh with a series of excellent firmware updates.
