How would you explain non-coherent detection?
Non-coherent means optical transmission system does not require coherent local oscillator light; Coherent means optical transmission system that uses local oscillator light for coherent detection.
Why non-coherent detectors are not used in PSK?
Non-coherent detection is not possible because at the receiver end the same frequency should be used as that of at the transmitter end, And coherency maintenance is must. Because in PSK modulation technique the phase of the modulated is changed according to the phase of the baseband signal.
What is coherent Noncoherent?
Coherent source: The source which emits a light wave with the same frequency, wavelength, and phase or has a constant phase difference is known as a coherent source. Incoherent source: An incoherent source emits a light wave having a different frequency, wavelength, and phase.
What is coherent demodulation in LTE?
Coherent demodulation consists in multiplying the received signal with a sinusoid of the same frequency and phase of the carrier.
