Can we use MSE for multi classification?

In previous chapters we have discussed how mean squared error (MSE) can be used to create machine learning regression models which can perform quite well. However, in classification MSE is not possible because the task is not convex, continuous or differentiable.

What is difference between RMSE and MSE and MAE?

MSE is highly biased for higher values. RMSE is better in terms of reflecting performance when dealing with large error values. RMSE is more useful when lower residual values are preferred. MAE is less than RMSE as the sample size goes up.

How do you calculate MSE in multiple linear regression?

MSE = SSE n − p estimates , the variance of the errors. In the formula, n = sample size, p = number of parameters in the model (including the intercept) and = sum of squared errors. Notice that for simple linear regression p = 2. Thus, we get the formula for MSE that we introduced in the context of one predictor.

Which is better MSE or RMSE?

It's a metric for determining how close a fitted line is to the real data points. The error rate by the square root of MSE is called RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error). RMSE is a better measure of fit than a correlation coefficient since it can be immediately translated into dimension units.
