Order tracking separates synchronous, asynchronous vibration
Order tracking is a technique that can separate the synchronous vibration from the asynchronous vibration (the synchronous vibration frequency is proportional to the shaft rotational frequency, while the asynchronous vibration frequency is not).
What is order spectrum?
An order spectrum is like a power spectrum in that it displays frequency content. However, an order spectrum provides additional insight for harmonically interrelated systems in rotating machinery. An order refers to a frequency that is a certain multiple of a reference rotational speed.
