What is fast Fourier transform method?
The "Fast Fourier Transform" (FFT) is an important measurement method in the science of audio and acoustics measurement. It converts a signal into individual spectral components and thereby provides frequency information about the signal.
Is FFT and FT same?
The only difference between FT(Fourier Transform) and FFT is that FT considers a continuous signal while FFT takes a discrete signal as input. DFT converts a sequence (discrete signal) into its frequency constituents just like FT does for a continuous signal.
Where FFT is used in real life?
It is used in designing electrical circuits, solving differential equations , signal processing ,signal analysis, image processing & filtering.
Is Fast Fourier Transform accurate?
Fast Fourier transform (FFT)-based computations can be far more accurate than the slow transforms suggest. Discrete Fourier transforms computed through the FFT are far more accurate than slow transforms, and convolutions computed via FFT are far more accurate than the direct results.
