  1. What is baseline in spectrum?

What is baseline in spectrum?

In spectroscopy, in order to compare two different spectra, you need to use a common baseline. It is usually been done by applying a continuum graph for each spectrum separately, then, divide the original spectrum by the continuum graph. the result is a continuum removed spectra for each sample.
