How to calculate slope of a signal?
Re: how to calculate the slope of a signal to find its peak
The slope of a line is defined as the rise over the run. Given two points on the line, (X,Y) and (X1,Y1) the formula for slope is (Y1-Y)/(X1-X). So pick two points on the line and determine their X,Y coordinates as shown on a graph or from the data itself.
What is the slope of a signal?
In a chip, the time it takes for a signal to switch from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0. Although extremely fast, it is not instantaneous and can be measured in picoseconds (ps) and nanoseconds (ns).
