What is a half sine shock pulse?
The half-sine pulse has a smooth transition; all the change is uniform. The half-sine generates low amplitude, high-frequency energy. Much of the wavelength energy is at lower frequencies and is primarily used to test for responses and resonances in mechanical systems.
What is shock duration?
Higher shock levels usually have shorter duration, perhaps fractions of milliseconds, and lower shock levels can have a duration as long as 20 milliseconds. Shocks resulting in crushing or bending of impact surfaces may last hundreds of milliseconds.
