What is the relaxation frequency?
relaxation frequency (f r) The frequency at which the dielectric loss factor (∈″) reaches a maximum, for a dielectric material that has no static (d.c.) conductivity and that is subjected to an alternating electromagnetic field. A Dictionary of Earth Sciences. "relaxation frequency ."
How do you calculate relaxation frequency?
It depends on the representation of your impedance spectra and the frequency range. If you plot Im(Z) vs. omega graph and you have a maximum (not always of course observable), the maximum frequency corresponds a relaxation time (t=1/omega).
