About this Course
Digital Signal Processing is the branch of engineering that, in the space of just a few decades, has enabled unprecedented levels of interpersonal communication and of on-demand entertainment.
Why do we study DSP?
DSP enables information transmission in telephone and communications infrastructures, measurement and control in medical equipment (pacemakers, hearing aids), and formation and analysis of medical, earth, and planetary images. The list of applications is virtually endless!
Is DSP hard to learn?
As a general rule, digital signal processing is considered hard by many because of the mathematical theory involved. However, most experts agree that once you use DSP in real-world applications, students find DSP easier. I remember my Digital Signal Processing classes at my university.
Is DSP electrical engineering?
Digital signal processing (DSP) is one of the most demanding areas in today's job market for electronic engineering graduates. Because of the need for this particular area, if not all but, most electrical/electronic engineering departments have already integrated this popular subject in their curriculum.
