What is bilinear transformation formula?
Bilinear transformation mapping of s-plane into z-plane. In general, by letting and s = σ + jΩ in Equation (11.21), we obtain. (11.23)
What do you understand by bilinear transformation associated with discrete data system?
The bilinear transform (also known as Tustin's method, after Arnold Tustin) is used in digital signal processing and discrete-time control theory to transform continuous-time system representations to discrete-time and vice versa.
Why do we use bilinear transform?
The bilinear transform can be used to produce a piecewise constant magnitude response that approximates the magnitude response of an equivalent analog filter. The bilinear transform does not faithfully reproduce the analog filters phase response, however.
