Is HSI and HSV the same?
The representations HSV, HSI and HSL are very similar, but not completely identical. The hue component H in all three color spaces is an angular measurement, analogous to position around a color wheel. A hue value of 0°corresponds to red, 120° corresponds to green, and 240° corresponds to blue.

Which is better HSV or HSL?
If you are doing UI it makes more sense to use HSL rather than HSV as you need to control the brightness (L) value of your color palette. Its a matter of preference. A color space has 3 axes, so two controls are needed for either color representation.
How does HSL Colour work?
HSL works in the same way our brain perceives colors: a color that we can manipulate with lightness and saturation. The Hue Property is a color picked from a palette of 360 colors. The colors are set in a circle, and each hue is a degree in the color-wheel.
