What is retinal image analysis?
We perform the analysis of retinal images by detecting the eye structures such as the blood vessels and optic disc first. Then the retinal image is analysed to detect the suspicious lesion regions if any. The segmentation of blood vessel is based on the Graph Cut technique.
How is machine learning used?
Machine learning is used in internet search engines, email filters to sort out spam, websites to make personalised recommendations, banking software to detect unusual transactions, and lots of apps on our phones such as voice recognition.
