What is the difference between phase modulation and frequency modulation?
Frequency Modulation is the process of varying the frequency of the carrier signal linearly with the message signal. Phase Modulation is the process of varying the phase of the carrier signal linearly with the message signal.
How FM can be generated from PM?
FM signals can be generated using either direct or indirect frequency modulation: Direct FM modulation can be achieved by directly feeding the message into the input of a voltage-controlled oscillator. For indirect FM modulation, the message signal is integrated to generate a phase-modulated signal.
